Human Resources and Admin Manager
Job Summary:
The Human Resources and Administration Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources and administrative functions within the organization. This includes talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, policy development, compliance with labor laws, and the overall management of administrative processes.
Responsibilities
1. Employee Relations:
- Conduct regular employee engagement surveys and implement initiatives to improve employee satisfaction.
- Foster a positive workplace culture through effective communication and relationship-building.
- Address employee concerns and grievances in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
2. Policy Development and Compliance:
- Create and update HR policies and procedures in accordance with labor laws and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements pertaining to employment and labor relations.
- Maintain HR records and prepare reports as required.
3. Administrative Management:
- Oversee the administration of office services, ensuring efficiency and cost effectiveness.
- Manage all aspects of facilities management, including office maintenance and supplies.
- Supervise administrative staff and provide guidance and support as needed.
4. Recruitment and Staffing:
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
- Manage the entire recruitment process including job postings, screening, interviewing, and making offers.
- Collaborate with department heads to determine staffing needs and ensure appropriate workforce planning.
5. Performance Management:
- Develop and manage performance appraisal systems to ensure alignment with company goals.
- Provide training and support to managers on performance management practices.
- Identify employee development needs and coordinate training programs.
6. Budgeting and Financial Management:
- Assist in the development and management of the HR and administration budget.
- Monitor and report on HR-related expenses to ensure compliance with budgetary constraints.
7. Health and Safety:
- Implement and monitor workplace safety policies and programs to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular safety audits and training to educate employees on safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree holders will have an added advantage).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR and administration, preferably within the security industry.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations in Tanzania.
- Working knowledge of ISO standards (9001:2015, 14001:2015, 45001:2018)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
