Field Sales Manager – Open Market Channel (150)
Role Objective
To build and grow mobile phone sales through Open Market Channels, by driving deeper market penetration through Victoria small stores and expanding reach through Freelancer channel through open market distribution within the region
Key Responsibilities
Victoria Small Stores Management
- Identify and set-up Victoria stores.
- Onboard, train, and manage Victoria stores team across the region.
- Achieve monthly sales targets set up for each of the stores.
- Implement incentive schemes and drive the shop staff to boost monthly sell-out.
- Monitor store-level sales and highlight underperforming outlets for corrective measures.
Freelancer & Youth Promoter Channel
- Recruit and manage a network of freelancers/commission-based sellers.
- Provide product knowledge, sales scripts, and promotional materials to the freelancers.
- Track productivity per freelancer (daily/weekly sales) and reward high performers.
- Run targeted community campaigns (door-to-door, university sales, rural activations).
Inventory & Logistics
- Coordinate with central stores team to ensure timely delivery of stock to Victoria stores and wholesalers.
- Monitor sell-out vs. sell-in to avoid overstocking.
Team & Market Force Management
- Directly manage shop sales heads and sales agents allocated to Victoria stores.
- Supervise and guide team leaders and freelancer clusters.
- Intensive market working and coaching to team members.
Reporting & Analytics
- Maintain a regional sales dashboard for open-market-sales by channel (Victoria stores and Freelancers).
- Report weekly performance to Zonal Business Manager.
- Provide market intelligence (competitor pricing, and consumer buying behaviour).

- % achievement of monthly and quarterly sales targets (units + revenue).
- Share of sales contribution by channel (Victoria stores vs. freelancers vs. open market
Store & Market Penetration
- Monthly device sell-out per Victoria store.

Freelancer Productivity
- Active freelancers per month (vs. total recruited).
- Average devices sold per freelancer per week.
- Retention rate of freelancers.
Inventory Management
- Stock availability in Victoria stores (% on-time fulfillment).
- Sell-through ratio (sell-out ÷ sell-in).
- % of aged stock >30 days.
Market Expansion
- Number of new Victoria stores onboarded per quarter.
- Number of freelancers added and active in sales cycle.
Team & Training
- Training sessions conducted for Victoria store owners and freelancers.
