Purpose of the role

The candidate for this role will be responsible for performing advanced diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of heavy-duty trucks to ensure optimal performance, safety, and minimal downtime across the fleet. The role requires strong technical expertise in engine systems, transmissions, pneumatic systems, and preventive maintenance of FAW Jiefang and Sinotruk HOWO trucks and trailers.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently perform major overhauls on FAW Jiefang and Sinotruk HOWO engines, transmissions, and differentials

• Accurately diagnose mechanical faults and determine root causes

• Execute precision repairs on heavy truck systems without supervision

• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on trucks and trailers

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair air brake and pneumatic systems on trucks and trailers

• Ensure all vehicle repairs are completed to high safety and operational standards

• Respond to breakdowns and support field repair operations when required

• Follow leadership instructions promptly and execute assigned tasks efficiently

• Maintain strong teamwork, discipline, and professionalism in daily operations

• Accept long-term business travel assignments as required

Knowledge & Experience

• Certificate or Diploma in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in heavy truck maintenance and repair

• Strong practical experience with FAW Jiefang and Sinotruk HOWO trucks is required

• Proven ability to independently carry out engine, transmission, and differential repairs

• Strong knowledge of air brake systems and pneumatic circuit troubleshooting

• Ability to work under minimal supervision with strong diagnostic capability

• Physically fit and able to work in demanding field and workshop conditions

• Strong problem-solving skills and a disciplined work ethic
