Job Title: Chinese Translator

Location: Kibaha, Pwani.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Chinese-speaking Tanzanian to support communication and administrative operations. The ideal candidate will facilitate effective communication between engineers and Chinese customers while also supporting day-to-day administrative activities within the facility.

Female candidates are highly encouraged to apply. Prior administrative experience is an added advantage but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

Translation & Communication

• Provide verbal translation between engineers and Chinese customers within the zone.

• Translate documents from Chinese to English and vice versa whenever required.

• Support communication and coordination with Chinese customers regarding bill payments and other operational matters.

• Prepare and share regular reports through email communication.

Administrative Support

• Maintain and update task trackers, pending bills status, and related records using Microsoft Excel.

• Coordinate and supervise service providers such as cleaners, electricians, plumbers, and other maintenance personnel to ensure the building remains clean and operational.

• Monitor and record electricity meter readings, water meter readings, and other utility consumption details before invoice preparation.

• Support general office administration and operational coordination activities as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Proficiency in both Chinese and English languages (spoken and written).

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Languages, Business Administration, International Relations, or a related field is an added advantage.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and email communication.

• Good organizational and follow-up skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

• Prior administrative experience is preferred but not mandatory.

• Female candidates are preferred.
