TECHNICAL MANAGER – ANIMAL NUTRITION
Position Summary
The Technical Manager – Animal Nutrition will provide technical leadership and customer support across the company’s portfolio of animal nutrition products and solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with customers, sales teams, feed manufacturers, veterinarians, and livestock producers to optimize animal performance through sound nutritional practices and evidence-based recommendations.
The position is based in Dar es Salaam and requires frequent travel to customer sites and regional offices throughout Tanzania.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide technical support and advisory services to customers in poultry, dairy, beef, aquaculture, and feed manufacturing sectors.
• Develop and implement nutrition programs aimed at improving animal health, productivity, and profitability.
• Support the sales team through customer visits, technical presentations, product demonstrations, and training activities.
• Investigate production challenges and recommend practical nutritional and management interventions.
• Design, monitor, and evaluate field trials and product performance assessments.
• Deliver technical training to customers, distributors, and company personnel.
• Develop technical reports, articles, presentations, and marketing support materials.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with feed mills, integrated livestock operations, veterinarians, and industry stakeholders.
• Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and market developments in animal nutrition and health.
• Represent the company at exhibitions, conferences, seminars, and industry events.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in: Animal Nutrition, Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, Animal Health, Livestock Production, Feed Technology or a related agricultural discipline
• Minimum 3–5 years’ relevant experience in animal nutrition, animal health, feed manufacturing, livestock production, or related industries.
• Practical experience in poultry production, particularly: Broilers, Layers, Breeders
• Experience in feed formulation, premixes, feed additives, or technical advisory services will be highly advantageous.
Knowledge & Skills
• Strong understanding of animal nutrition principles and feed ingredients.
• Knowledge of feed additives and their applications in livestock production.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
• Strong presentation and training capabilities.
• Ability to interpret production data and develop practical recommendations.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and customer-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

• Valid driver’s license (strong advantage).
• Willingness to travel extensively within Tanzania.
