Senior Network Planning and Optimization Expert
Job Summary
The Senior Network Planning and Optimization Expert will be responsible for planning, optimizing, and maintaining the performance of 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G mobile networks to ensure exceptional customer experience and network efficiency. The role involves analyzing network performance, implementing optimization strategies, verifying new network features, and improving key performance indicators (KPIs) through advanced radio network optimization techniques. The successful candidate will lead optimization initiatives, conduct drive test analysis, and support the deployment of advanced wireless technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor, maintain, and improve the performance of 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G mobile networks.
Ensure all assigned network Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) meet or exceed customer and project targets.
Analyze network performance data and recommend optimization strategies to improve service quality.
Improve radio network quality, including Signal-to-Interference-plus-Noise Ratio (SINR), coverage, capacity, accessibility, retainability, and throughput.
Perform detailed analysis of Drive Test (DT) logs and recommend corrective optimization actions.
Plan and execute network optimization activities to improve customer experience.
Implement, validate, and optimize Huawei 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G network features.
Verify and evaluate newly introduced network functions and software features before commercial deployment.
Conduct parameter optimization and performance tuning across multiple radio technologies.
Optimize P3 Crowd Testing results and recommend network improvements based on customer experience analytics.
Perform cluster-level and network-wide optimization activities.
Prepare optimization reports, KPI dashboards, technical analyses, and performance recommendations.
Collaborate with RF planning, transmission, core network, implementation, and customer technical teams to resolve network issues.
Support acceptance testing and post-implementation performance verification.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior optimization engineers.
Ensure compliance with project standards, quality requirements, and customer expectations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the telecommunications industry.
Proven experience in Huawei Radio Network Planning and Optimization (NPM).
Extensive experience in 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G network optimization.
Strong experience in large-scale mobile network optimization projects.
Experience working on nationwide or regional network performance improvement initiatives.
Experience supporting projects within the financial services sector will be highly preferred.
Experience in cloud computing, AI, enterprise computing, or digital transformation projects will be an added advantage.
