Regional Sales Specialist - Mbeya & Tabora
Purpose of the role
The Regional Sales Specialist will be responsible for driving sales growth and market presence by promoting products, recruiting and supporting retail partners, and ensuring optimal visibility and availability of products across assigned territories. The role will act as a key link between the organization and retail partners, supporting sales execution, relationship management, market development, and compliance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Drive sales growth by promoting products, recruiting new retailers, and expanding the retail network across assigned territories.
Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers, store owners, and managers while supporting them to improve sales performance and customer service.
Execute sales strategies, marketing campaigns, and promotional activities while ensuring products are visible and available at retail outlets.
Conduct regular field visits, identify new business opportunities, monitor outlet performance, and provide support on basic terminal-related issues where required.
Manage the sales pipeline and territory activities using CRM and other sales tools, ensuring accurate records and timely follow-up.
Prepare and submit weekly sales reports, market insights, performance updates, and recommendations on emerging opportunities.
Work closely with internal teams and retail partners to address operational issues and ensure effective execution of sales activities.
Maintain professional standards, comply with company policies and procedures, and support responsible business practices.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum of Diploma in Sales and Marketing or a related field.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, or a related field is preferred.
Proven experience in a Sales Hunter, New Business Development, or similar target-driven sales role.
Experience in the FMCG or Gaming industry is an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of sales and marketing principles, the full sales cycle, consultative selling, pipeline management, and territory planning.
Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal, customer service, and networking skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and achieve sales targets.
Familiarity with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience using mobile or handheld sales devices is an advantage.
Basic technical knowledge and ability to use hand tools for simple terminal repairs is an added advantage.
Strong problem-solving, administration, reporting, and relationship management skills.
